SOLC 20 of 31: Crow’s Greeting

At the tippy top

of the bare tree

on the flimsy

thin branches

sit the

solid black

crows

squawking

a morning greeting

and catching my

attention

at the

bagel store door.

I like how you spotlighted the crows in your poem. “Squawk” is such a great word! I also like the simplicity of the one extended line. Beautiful!

Just saying – I don’t always recognize blogger friends by their names, but when I see their blog face, I know them. Love the murder of crows in your poem. I was surprised that you saw them just outside the bagel store door! Great poem.

I love that you were able to capture a picture of the crows.
