SOLC 12 of 31: Buddies

“Two peas in a pod.” “Birds of a feather, flock together.” “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” All of these sayings are true about my puppy and his older brother.

When we bought home the puppy in December we were worried about how my older dog would react. Would they get along? Play with one another? Ignore one another? Tolerate one another?

Turns out, my older dog Caeden is a great big brother! They play together and Caeden looks out for Juneau. Juneau certainly follows everything that Caeden does and is training more quickly because of that.

But mostly, it melts my heart when we find them cuddled up sleeping together. I appreciate my older dog’s sweetness as he let’s the young puppy sleep on top of him, next to him or even in his crate with him.

Cheers to these two pups in a crate getting along so well!

Oh my, this is very dangerous for me to read. We often think about having a sibling for our dog. Yours are so fluffy and adorable and I want to curl up with them!

This melts my heart. You had me at “dog buddies.” I just want to snuggle up w/ your fur friends. We all need mentors, even puppies.

I understand that initial worry! I am getting a roommate with a dog, and I am worried about how my prima donna GiGi is going to react. Hopefully it will be as great as those pictures show!
