SOLC 1 of 31: Pace Yourself

This is my 9th year doing the month long challenge. Here’s my advice for this month for newbies and all of us!

Pace Yourself

31 days of writing, posting and commenting.
Pace yourself.

Among the fury of life, lesson plans, meetings,
activities, housework and homework,
Breathe.

Find joy in your students, your family, your surroundings.
Rejoice in small things.
Make time for slowing down…
…yes, slowing down…
Even when everything is moving fast.

Take time to smile, reach out,
And connect with others.
This fuels your soul.
It slows the pace.
It reminds you to be
Present.

Document those moments
in your writing.
Revel in memories
that pop up.
Decide to linger, reflect
and create posts.

Pace yourself.
31 days of writing, posting and commenting.
You’ve got this!

It’s the 8th year for me…..and I am a bit apprehensive and a lot excited! Your reminder to find the joy in what you do is an important message. See you around!

Thank you for sharing! As a first time slicer for the March challenge, it is a little daunting. My goal in 2019 was to use writing to slow down and reflect. Thank you for your encouragement.

Slowing down sounds like a lovely idea. I’m nervous and excited. Hope I can follow this advice!

Such great advice for the challenge! I’m a 9th year slicer, too. Welcome back!

This had a calming and reassuring tone as I read it. I may have to print it and keep it by my laptop.
