First Flakes (SOLC 10 of 31)

As the first flakes fall,

they are gentle,

unhurried.

Almost a joke,

as if to say,

“I won’t be a problem

for you today.”

But the wind picks up,

the flakes fall with speed and fury,

the gentleness gone,

the interruption and inconvenience

of the day

begins.

Ha, ha! I also wrote about the same topic but with a different perspective. We should combine them into a comparative poem.
