Concrete Snow, SOLC 2015, 3 of 31

The snow clings like
ice concrete
to the sides of the road
and sidewalks

a
stubborn
reminder that
winter
will NOT go

The sun
shines
in a
losing battle
no foe
for the stubborn snow.

The snow definitely has been stubborn this year! Even my students are tired of the snow!

I feel your pain and so do my students. Don’t forget how it clings to the car so that you can barely turn the wheel.

This is a third poem slice I am reading today. I can feel how the stubborn snow is playing with your nerves.

Lovely poem! My husband and I are anxiously awaiting the day when we are able to walk our dog without layering up to brave the elements!
