SOLC 10 of 31: No! No?

Interesting how kids can use “No” so freely and yet most adults have such a hard time saying “No.”

Go brush your teeth.
No.”
Go take a shower.
“No.”
Let’s start your homework.
“No.”

Can you mentor…
“Yes.” (But do I have time, should I have said No?)
Can you volunteer…
“Yes, for the kids.” (But I know I don’t have time.)
Can you help with…?
“Yes,” (but when?)

Where in our lives did No go from being so easy to so hard?

Interesting thoughts. Maybe it’s because we’ve been conditioned to please others?

I’ve become much more aware lately of how hard it is to say NO, especially to other adults – but have also decided that I am going to really work hard at saying it…… believe me, it makes life a whole lot easier!!!!
